I am so excited to share that me and my family will be joining friends from Campus Life to share the word of God, our testimony and our passion for Christ with others. This is a huge step of faith for me, my wife, and my eight-year old daughter. We would love your support… Please pray for us, our safety, and that our mission would honor God. And, if you have the ability, please consider donating a small amount to help offset our costs (learn more below or go to goCampusLife and be sure to select “to Belize Mission Donations” and include “Diemel Family” in comment field).
Why Belize? Belize has a very special place in our family’s heart. It was my first international trip as an adventurous youth, where I spent 10 days hiking and exploring with my best friend. However, more importantly, it was where Ginger and I decided to say “I do”, and get married in March, 2009. We loved our time in Belize, we loved the people and the culture, and now we are excited to return and show this country to our daughter while carrying out this mission.

Why we feel our family should do this? This is something that we have been discussing for some time and when the opportunity arose we were quick to say “yes”. God and faith are at the center of our family, and the one thing that pulls us together and keeps us united. Life is hard, and I am certain we would not have the love and family connection we share if it was not for God. Given everything we have been blessed with we feel it is only right to look at ways that we can give back. This is a small action for God and for Belize, but a huge step for us. I fully believe that this week will change our lives, and help us communicate our values to others.
When and Where? The trip will be August 3-9, 2019. The where is still not 100% known, but will be in some community in Belize. We are still working at the group level to put together all of the details, and I will update this page as I learn more.

What will we do? This mission trip is centered on evangelism and we will be working with local churches to share the good news and share our testimony. To be effective our group is partnering with Praying Pelican Missions, who can pair our mission with local churches and arrange other local details. Our family will do whatever we can to help build into the local community there and share the Word of God in a way that impacts lives.
How can you help? First, and most important is prayer. Please pray for us and for Belize. Second, we honestly need some financial support. This mission trip comes at an expense of $2,100 per person, for a total of $6,300 for our family to go. This expense will include all travel, food and lodging. Your support will be a blessing to us and those we will share God’s word with. Please consider donating to help us offset our cost. You can donate online at goCampusLife and be sure to select “to Belize Mission Donations” and if you would include “Doug” or “Diemel Family” in the optional comments. Any amount would help, and THANK YOU so much for your support.
Thank you for reading this post. As always, I wish you the best
